Collection: Khyaal Collection
Khyaal - meaning thought in Urdu
A story stitched in thought. A daydream turned into legacy.
It always begins with a thought. A fleeting daydream. A whisper of an idea drifting like a breeze across the mind - soft, persistent, full of promise.
We call it Khyaal - a word that holds more than just “thought.” It holds the quiet hum of imagination, the gentle pause before inspiration strikes, the space where dreams and memories meet. This collection was born in that sacred space. A place where creativity flows like ink on paper - sketching motifs, painting florals, blending shades like verses in a forgotten poem.
Our team found themselves once again wrapped in Khyaal, not just imagining jewellery, but feeling it - the weight, the movement, the story each piece would carry. From selecting the richest materials and the finest stones, to our artisans meticulously bringing the designs to life - every step followed a silent rhythm of devotion and detail.
And while the artisans worked - chiselling, shaping, polishing - we drifted once more into reverie. Into memories. Into her.
Our founder found herself transported to a familiar scene, warm and glowing with nostalgia. A little girl again, quietly watching her Ammi prepare for a special evening. There was something sacred in that ritual - the soft swipe of kajol from her silver Surma Daani, the careful application of lipstick doubled as blusher, rubbed gently into her cheeks. No brushes, no mirrors. Just instinct, grace, and timeless beauty.
But the real magic began when Ammi reached for her jewellery box - red velvet, worn at the corners, two gold stripes marking it with the quiet authority of tradition. Inside lay her wedding set. A gift from her mother-in-law. A design so delicate and intentional, it became etched in memory - a blossom motif, gold pear-shaped drops, ruby stones glowing at the centre, and fine chains draping like whispers of silk.
It wasn’t just jewellery. It was heritage. It was Ammi.
One day, curiosity overtook caution - small hands opened the box in secret, eager to feel grown-up. A single earring slipped, the hook bent, and broke, panic arose. It was hidden away quickly, thinking the secret would stay safe. But Ammi knew. They always do. She said nothing. Just a quiet glance that held both mischief and love.
Years passed. But that memory - and that jewellery - stayed.
So, as a tribute to the woman who taught us grace without words, beauty in simplicity, and the art of saying so much by saying so little - we began recreating her wedding set. Sketch by sketch, mould by mould. We tried reimagining it, modernising it, adapting it - but nothing came close. Because some designs are not meant to be changed. They're meant to be preserved. Protected. Passed on.
And so, we honour her.
We honour every Ammi.
Introducing The Bano Set - a tribute, a keepsake, an heirloom reborn.
For you, Ammi. Always.
